How does the day generally work with photography?

The shooting starts whenever you require but it’s usually about two hours prior to the ceremony or service when the bride is getting ready. There is only one stage of the day where I would take you from the wedding celebrations which is just after the ceremony. I tend to do the family shots then, and then take you away to a preferred location to shoot for about 45 minutes to one hour. Other than that I just shoot naturally and candidly and let everything unfold the way it should. I’m usually there with you for about 10 hours but it’s all up to you really!

When will we get our photos?

In about three weeks for your first look – a slideshow. Then you’ll receive the high-res images two weeks following that. Then we can work out which images might be printed or made in to an album.

Are our photos secure?

Very. My camera equipment features dual card slots, so every shot that I take is being written to two different memory cards. That means there is already a backup of everything by the time I leave the venue.

Do you cover destination weddings?

Yes. I have travelled around Australia and overseas to shoot weddings. Locations include the Southern Highlands, the Hunter Valley, Mudgee, Wagga Wagga, Port Macquarie, Perth, New Zealand and Italy.

Are there any extra costs?

Most things are covered in my fee, however there are modest costs to cover travel and an overnight stay if required. There are fixed fees for this which are outlined in the pdf brochure I’ll send to you. I travel light!

A premium wedding album is also an additional cost.

Do you know any good places to shoot near the venue?

Yes. I always check out the venue before the big day, so I can get an idea of what will work best for your photos.

When do I need to pay?

$500 will secure the date for you and the remaining amount is due by the wedding date.

How many photographers are there on the day?

Just me. You can request a second photographer but I have done almost every wedding on my own. I try to keep out of your way as much as possible so for that reason I feel one photographer is plenty.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes. Sometimes venues ask for this requirement which I can easily send by email.
